Summary

Brand Ambassadors will be responsible for representing Rebel Nell at sales events, performing the setup and tear down, creating social media content for us, engaging customers and telling them about our brand and our products, and most importantly selling. This position works directly with our CEO.

Essential Functions

Include but are not limited to:

  • Sales and Events
    • Daily oversight of scheduled art fairs, festivals, and pop-ups, including but not limited to providing an engaging customer experience, upselling and operating Shopify’s POS system, merchandising, and restocking
    • Meet sales goals
    • Event preparation, execution, and take-down
    • Assist the CEO with lead generation of events and selling opportunities
    • Ensure accurate inventory is maintained
  • Content Creation
    • Work in tandem with the marketing team to create content that drives awareness and sales via Rebel Nell’s digital channels
  • Work collaboratively with other departments
  • Prompt and effective communication via phone and email

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience building sales based relationships in their respective market
  • 1 year of retail experience in the jewelry/fashion industry
  • Interest in working directly with the public in a sales environment

Location: Twelve Oaks Mall - Novi, Michigan

Salary: $15 an hour

Hours: Full-time and/or part-time positions. Subject to business needs, in accordance with mall hours

You should be a team player who is goal-oriented and driven to achieve sales targets. You will provide unforgettable customer experiences and build authentic and genuine relationships. Perform Store Operations:

  • Ensure that all Rebel Nell policies and operating procedures are followed
  • Ensure accurate inventory management processes including but not limited to maintaining an organized stockroom and accurately processing sales and returns on our POS system

Location: Atlanta

Job Description:

Rebel Nell began in 2013 with the mission to employ women facing barriers to employment in Detroit, educate them on financial management, life wellness and entrepreneurship, and empower them to transition to a life of independence. We partner with local organizations to seek out women who have struggled tofind and retain employment. We are driven by our mission to break down barriers and liberate potential through transitional employment opportunities. As a Market Expansion Manager for Atlanta you will Develop and implement a robust go-to-market strategy for sales growth and other direct-to-consumer opportunities within the Atlanta market. The primary responsibility of the Market Expansion Manager is to develop a strategic plan for growing the company’s footprint within their territory, identify growth opportunities, and capitalize on those opportunities to drive significant volume growth for the company. This individual will oversee the growth and management of Rebel Nell’s volume goals and broader objectives within the Atlanta market. Opportunities to drive volume include but are not limited to identifying, securing, and executing sales opportunities through pop-ups, speaking engagements, trunk shows, and business/corporate gifting. Additionally, this position has an opportunity to capitalize on the Brand Ambassador Program, in which a Brand Ambassador team is built, trained, and utilized as additional team members to drive sales volume on a larger scale.

Breakdown of Responsibilities:

  • 70% - Management and execution of sales opportunities
  • 30% - Lead Generation in new markets


Job Responsibilities:

  • Be a brand evangelist to drive business development in your market
  • Focus on new boots on the ground business development by performing market & customer prospecting while developing strategic, targeted sales campaigns that build strong customer relationships in Atlanta and new markets
  • Drive cross-functional strategic projects and support senior management on critical tasks including but not limited to identifying key retail locations in your region, securing strategic partnerships, expanding wholesale opportunities, and growing revenue
  • Lead prompt communication and flow with internal and external stakeholders, with a focus on securing opportunities and maintaining brand integrity
  • Present key findings to the COO, CEO, and the Director of Marketing to develop and execute a strategy for expansion and growth
  • Effectively manage and drive sales opportunities from ideation, prospecting, and execution - ensuring that all sales opportunities maintain a return on investment and represent the brand in accordance with our core values and objectives
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals to ensure increased sales and revenue streams
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly budget expectations to ensure company growth and profitability
  • Prepare regular reports and conduct weekly/monthly meetings to review performance
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities within the region, sharing findings with all relevant internal parties
  • Utilizing internal tools to organize and share digital web assets with stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure clear communication
  • Prompt and effective communication via Slack, email, monday.com, etc. during normal business hours

Lead Generation Accountabilities:

  • Identify and acquire new customers, partners, and sales opportunities as well as up-selling to existing customer bases across the region
  • Communicate opportunities for networking, public relations, wholesale, business gifting, bridal, marketing, et al to the appropriate team members
  • Solicit ideas, recommendations, and networking opportunities from stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts in the region
  • Build a sustainable and robust pipeline while ensuring accurate and rigorous forecasting and account planning

Brand Ambassador Accountabilities:

  • Develop, maintain and grow the Rebel Nell Brand Ambassador Program - main point person
    • Recruit, build, and manage a team of Brand Ambassadors
    • Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard all Brand Ambassadors
    • Maintain an active roster of Ambassadors
    • Facilitate all Brand Ambassador training including but not limited to, on-boarding, continuing education, and coaching (as needed)
    • Create a brand strategy to develop strategic approaches by business unit for Ambassadors
    • Identify and secure all on-location events, in partnership with the Brand Ambassador team
    • Ensure successful direct to consumer event strategy via:
      • Identify key location partnerships
      • Drive event marketing initiatives
      • Coordinate with all involved stakeholders to ensure a successful event
      • Coordinate and schedule the local Ambassador teams
      • Manage all logistics and educate the Brand Ambassadors on their responsibilities
      • Partner with Brand Ambassadors to set and achieve ambitious yet attainable goals
      • Hold the Brand Ambassadors accountable for meeting event sales goals

    • Generate weekly status reports and provide strategic recommendations for Ambassador program growth
    • Develop an understanding of the strategic priorities, social impact issues and advocacy areas that can be impacted by the effective use of Brand Ambassadors
    • Coordinate meetings, events, and other exchanges of relevant information to ensure the Ambassador Program is fully leveraged and recognized for its contribution to Rebel Nell’s goals
    • Develop and present new ways to activate existing Ambassadors and look for creative selling opportunities to expand the program into new strategic pillars
    • Track activities and deliverables against individual Ambassador contracts. Manage Ambassador- related expenses relative to travel, etc

Minimum Qualifications:

Experienced and driven team player with a strong strategic and analytical toolbox. We are looking for a talented person who has a passion for retail and consumer goods, as well as a great strategic mindset and commercial instinct. You have a strong analytical toolbox and excellent project management skills, with the ability to drive large cross-functional projects. Also, you have great people skills and should be comfortable engaging with team members on all levels across the organization.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Marketing or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years previous retail management experience preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in a sales representative role, preferred in the same industry
  • Strong track record of success with prior experience in an area sales role or similar position
  • Strong intrapersonal skills
  • Solid and credible relationships with key decision-makers in the region
  • Strong experience within consultative sales and possess the ability to prospect and manage senior-level relationships
  • Ability to facilitate engaging meetings and workshops with multiple senior stakeholders involved
  • Experience from a consumer-oriented company or client (FMCG, retail, branded consumer goods, etc)
