Looking for a jewelry designing experience in Detroit that's unlike anything else in the city? At Rebel Nell, you'll design your own ring, necklace, bracelet, earrings, or accessory using a piece of fallen Detroit street art or a piece of your child's artwork. It's a unique experience and one of the best creative things to do in Detroit, and it's a great indoor activity any day of the week, whether it's raining, freezing, or just too hot to be outside.
As part of your in-studio session, a team member will share the Rebel Nell story and guide you through the jewelry-designing process. You'll design a one-of-a-kind piece from a slab of fallen Detroit graffiti or your child's artwork(we also have non-jewelry options like keychains and bottle stoppers). See the photos below for everything available to customize.
This experience runs about 30 minutes and works well whether you're coming solo, bringing a group, celebrating a birthday, or just looking for something fun to do downtown. The jewelry itself is sold separately and ranges from $40–$120. Up to 3 people can book per half-hour slot. Need room for more? Book the next time slot or give us a call.

Book Your Slot
Reserve a half-hour time slot online, up to 3 people per booking. Let us know if you'll be working with reclaimed Detroit graffiti or your child's artwork (paper only). The experience takes place at our shop in Downtown Detroit in Parker's Alley at 1435 Farmer Street.
Choose Your Piece
Pick the item you'd like to make! We have rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, keychains, bottle stoppers, and more! Jewelry is available in sterling silver and 18k gold plated sterling silver. Accessories, such as pet tags or keychains, are generally made of stainless steel or a metal alloy.

Select a slab of reclaimed Detroit street art (or bring your kid's artwork — paper only).
Design It Together
Your host walks you through fully designing your piece. Your finished pieces will be ready to picked up or shipped to you in 2-4 weeks.
