Grand Hotel Terrace Room Collaboration

The Grand Hotel first opened its doors in 1887 as a summer retreat for vacationers who traveled to Michigan by train, and then came to Mackinac Island via steamer and boat. Throughout its time as America’s Summer Place, one family nurtured and guided the hotel’s growth to a highly celebrated and much-beloved getaway. Today, this National Historic Landmark continues to beguile guests with old-world hospitality and charm, inspired enhancements, and a heritage to be preserved for generations to come. The Terrace Room decor, from where the material used in this collaboration originates, is inspired by the Golden Age of popular music that began prior to World War I and blossomed from the 1920s through the early 1950s. It was defined by a mood and style filled with rhythm and romance — and with memorable, melodic, literate music. The Terrace Room, harkens back to a world of Berlin and Gershwin, Kern and Hammerstein, Rodgers and Porter, Miller and Dorsey, Sinatra and Davis, Bublé and Bennett.

For this collaboration, we used the history of the Terrace Room as our inspiration - creating a special online exclusive collection using elegant freshwater baroque pearls and incorporating the eye-catching green and white fabric to create the “gemstones,” preserving the memories of all of the special moments from concerts to weddings that happened in this room, resulting in a timeless collection that includes drop earrings, a pearl necklace, and a bracelet with a freshwater pearl charm.

For this limited edition collaboration we created only 30 pieces offer them exclusively online. Each piece of the Grand Hotel Terrace Room Collaboration will be engraved with a serial number to authenticate the limited collection, allowing enthusiasts to own a piece of history from one of the state’s most famous destinations for children and adults.
