With more than 300 Papier-mâché heads on display, the Big Heads are currently created and maintained in Detroit but were originally crafted in Viareggio, Italy over 80 years ago. Each piece highlights the Italian newsprint and the paint that gave centuries of life to these walking icons, preserving the history and legacy of the original Big Heads which make their grand march down Woodward Avenue each year in America’s Thanksgiving Parade® presented by Gardner White. A portion of the proceeds will support the Big Heads in Detroit.
